When Dave and Davie, passionate tiki enthusiasts, needed a dedicated space to enjoy live music and sunset views from their backyard, they turned to Home Pride Handyman. They envisioned a unique shipwreck-inspired floating deck stage built over an area that had previously gone unused. We designed and built a custom floating stage using pressure-treated lumber to create a rustic, weathered appearance. The deck features staggered decking patterns, hidden fasteners for a cleaner look and improved longevity, and a concealed access hatch that blends seamlessly into the finished surface while preserving crawl space access. The result is a one-of-a-kind performance space that feels like a natural extension of their backyard tiki retreat.
